Trash Removal

Residents of The Pinecrest take great pride in our community.  To maintain our community free of litter, unsightliness and unwanted pests, all residents must faithfully abide by the PCA trash policy.  Violations of the Pinecrest Community Association (PCA) trash policy will result in a warning letter.  Continuing violations will lead to a board hearing and possible assessment of charges.  Click here to review the PCA trash policy.

The PCA contracts with Trash Away for trash and recycling removal.  Please review the information below regarding requirements and pick-up dates/times.  For more information or questions, please contact Trash Away at (703) 339-4560.

Trash Collection:

Trash is collected Monday and Thursday mornings. All Residents (single family homes, townhouses, and condos) should put trash out in solid containers or heavy duty green or black plastic bags no later than 8:00 AM the morning of pick-up. The PCA contract covers only certain large items. White metal goods and construction debris require residents to contact Trash Away for a special pick-up. For more information, review Trash Away's service flyer.

Household Hazardous Wastes must be properly disposed of at a Fairfax County Household Hazardous Waste Collection site. For more information, click here for the Fairfax County website.

Recycling Collection:

Yard Waste: is collected on Monday mornings.   Yard waste should be bundled or in clear plastic bags. For more information, review a PCA summary affecting our particular community. Click here for more general Fairfax County information.

Other Recycling: is collected on Thursday mornings.  For more information, review Fairfax County's requirements.

Fairfax County Recycling Centers:
If you want to dispose of recycling (bottles, plastic, paper) in between regularly scheduled pick-ups, please visit the Fairfax County Recycling Centers conveniently located next to the ABC Liquor Store on Little River Turnpike or at Audrey Moore Recreation Center.   Click here for more information and exact locations of the Annandale Recycling Centers.
